Chicken Nuggets two ways

Seems like everyone loves a good chicken nugget any time of the day. Dip it into a sauce and just chow down on the warm and crispy goodness. But let’s be real, the store-bought ones just don’t seem to hit the spot. They’re often too processed, with barely any real chicken in them. So, why settle for less when you can easily make homemade nuggets that are both healthier and way more flavorful? That’s right! I’m giving you two different ways to make chicken nuggets at home that will leave you craving more.

Method 1: Classic Breaded Chicken Nuggets

This is the tried-and-true nugget recipe. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make crispy, golden nuggets packed with tender chicken.

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works great for extra crunch)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika for added flavor ( about 1 tbsp of each is recommended)

  • 1 tbsp of parmesan

  • oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, around 1-2 inches each.

  2. Set up the breading station: Place the flour in one shallow bowl with salt, pepper, and any other optional spices you’d like.. In another bowl, whisk the eggs. And in a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs (you can add seasonings in this as well if you would like).

  3. Breading process: Dip each chicken piece into the flour, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Then, dip it into the egg mixture, followed by a coat of breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to make sure it sticks.

  4. Fry the nuggets: Heat about 1 inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the breaded chicken pieces into the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the nuggets are golden brown and cooked through.

  5. Serve: Remove the nuggets from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Method 2: Spicy jalapeno Chicken Nuggets

  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese (you probably wont use it all)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of chicken stock powder

  2. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, stock powder, salt, and pepper. shape the chicken mixed into small nugget sizes then toss the them into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure each piece is well-coated and carefully place to the side.
